We know your home is your prized investment and a place where memories are made.  We can help in keeping your home safe while you're away.  Joe spent his years as a Sheriff's Deputy, assisting the public in the most challenging times.  Joe's happy to share his unique perspective on problem avoidance for you and your home.

Home checks are typically done once a week, or more, if desired.  Photos are included in each status report, which is emailed to you after every visit.  Homeowners are charged a flat monthly fee, with an option for Enhanced Services.

An expansive checklist of items is inspected during every visit.  This includes   everything from ensuring your home's utilities are working properly, bringing in your mail and packages and checking for signs of forced entry or other suspicious activity.

Routine checks of your home can help spot little problems before they turn into big problems.  Whether it's a rodent nest, vandalism or an ice-damaged heat pump, we'll observe and report any concerns.  If there's an emergency, you'll be called immediately.  Repairs can be scheduled with a trusted vendor, and we can standby when necessary.

Enhanced Services include plant watering, starting vehicles, playing with your cat or cleaning the kitty litter box!  

Homeowners' can also make Special Requests for planned or unexpected events.  We can grocery shop prior to your arrival, retrieve an unexpected package delivery or meet with a repair person outside of a normally scheduled home check.  These services are offered for an additional fee.

Trust and Integrity may seem misplaced in the "Services" page., however, we know that having these characteristics are vital when you invite someone into your home.  

Joe is the founder of Oregon Home Check.  He worked in law enforcement within the same agency for over 27-years before retiring.  In the above photo, Joe is coordinating the movements of "Citizen Patrol" volunteers during the late-night hours of the Eagle Creek Fire.  This was a very stressful and intense moment for the community of Corbett, Oregon.  In stressful times like these, we may rely on others.  This reliance can only exist when there's trust.  Please know that Joe values your trust and he'll be there for you and your home when needed.
